I am so excited to share with you all the Sullivan dress from Sew Much Ado. Scalloped (or straight hem) overlay, BEAUTIFUL notched sleeves (or sleeveless) with knee length and maxi length skirt (with chiffon or lace overlay) options, what’s not to love???

The Sullivan dress which comes in sizes 12-18m to 12 years, is a layered pattern so you can print only the size that you want. It includes a detailed video tutorial for a clean finish on the sleeveless option as well. All the measurements are given in both imperial and metric units.

I used a swiss dot in ivory (from Jo Ann fabrics) for the bodice and linen for the skirt.

Do you see why I love those notched sleeves so much?

She’s such a poser! I was trying to get her to hold her hair so I could photograph the pretty keyhole feature in the back but no! she had to do her own thing lol!

And here’s the back view with the pretty keyhole, how adorable is it!?!

I love everything about this dress – the wooden button, the linen and swiss dot fabrics and the pom pom trim!! And the fit of course, it’s perfect!

This dress has all my heart eyes! I know I say that about everything I make for her but one I find my daughter adorable in anything she wears and two I really blame the designers who keep coming up with such cute patterns that I can’t seem to resist 🙂

Now as you already know I usually make two of everything, here’s my other version – this was actually the first one I made.

This is the sleeveless, Straight hem overlay in maxi length.  The lovely gauze fabric is from Fine Fabrics Atlanta. I really miss that place, they have such an amazing collection of fabrics and notions, its a pity they don’t have an online store 😦

Some days are golden with just how well she cooperates, this was one of those days!

I wish I had measured properly and lengthened the bodice on this one, but I still like it. More importantly, she likes it – it has pink flowers and its princess length (yes that is what we like to call maxi length around here)

So, if you like the Sullivan dress, hurry on and get the PDF pattern here for a release sale price of $8.

I am not an affiliate, I just really love Abby’s patterns 🙂 Here’s a review of my Magrath Dress also from Sew Much Ado.
