The Emmy Children’s T-Shirt released yesterday by Laela Jeyne Patterns* is a great basic t-shirt pattern. It is is the perfect back to school item, the kind you want to to fill your kid’s closet with. It has options enough to make every Emmy shirt different than the other!

The pattern comes with options for a regular neckline, cowl neck or hood.  The sleeves come in short, elbow, and long lengths with or without cuffs, and even a thumb hole cuff option (that I haven’t tried out yet). It also has a gathered sleeve cap and a regular one. Are you tired of listening to all the options yet? More options to customize your little Emmy Tee – three different elbow patch styles, and an accent triangle option!

The gold dotted fabric I used for this Emmy tee is a stable cotton jersey from Hobby Lobby. It has good stretch and recovery and works very well for this pattern. The cowl fabric is a thin gold striped rayon jersey from Hancock fabrics. Unfortunately, it didn’t photograph very well.

I used the gathered sleeve option with a cuff for this version.

The fit is nice and comfortable and I really like the subtly curved hemline of this shirt.

It comes in sizes 6m – 6 (unisex) and for girls 7-14 .

It is a layered pattern, so you can print only the size you need, and in trimless pages for both US and A4 paper. It includes well written instructions and clear photos with accompanying photos for each step.
