My first sewing related blog post and and I am so excited to write about the Adora top! This is one of the four amazing patterns from the just released Unbiased Collection by pattern anthology! You can read all about this wonderful collection over at Pattern Anthology. I am beyond thrilled to have tested two of their lovely patterns. Today I am writing about the fabulous Adora Top. This top is designed by Andrea Pannell from Go To Patterns.
It comes in both dress and top versions and I chose to do the top version. The woven yoke features a unique neckline and the soft gathers in the body give it a very form-flattering silhouette.
I love how the neckline is so defined, and the fit is so great that it makes the top so well-fitted across the bodice. Another feature that I found truly unique is the back bodice. The shape of the yoke in the back and the gathers at the waist give it such a slendering effect, I find it very flattering!
The Adora comes in both dress and top versions and a short and long sleeves too. It is a super quick sew (probably took me about 2 hours from cutting to finishing the hemline), with superbly drafted pattern pieces with very clear and easy to read instructions and illustrations. It was a pleasure to sew and the result was so rewarding that I had to make not one but two. I have another full sleeved version that I will have to blog about soon 🙂
I am so absolutely in love with my new Adora top, I can’t wait to make more!
The whole collection is so great and comes at such an awesome sale price, you won’t be disappointed if you get it now at Unbiased Collection.
Oh my! The polkadot one tho!!!! Outstanding work on both versions!
