Happy New Year to you guys!!! I hope the new year brings you lot of joy and sewing inspiration!!!
My first post in 2016 is a pajama pattern! If it were not for pattern testing, I would never have been sewing PJs for myself. Tunics, blouses and dresses yes! but who has time for sewing an elaborate pajama set with collars and buttons and such? But you absolutely should! if you’re using the Laela Jeyne’s Comfy Cozy Pajama PDF pattern.
Here’s why I love the pattern, it is an incredibly fast sew (I made this set in one evening) with well drafted pattern pieces, and clearly illustrated and detailed instructions. The pattern includes all kinds of options that you would ever need to make a two piece pajama set – different inseam lengths, high rise and low rise options, pants or shorts and short and long sleeve options along with options for breast and inseam pockets and cuffs for sleeves and pants.
Marisa’s directions to attach the collar make it a breeze. This was my first time sewing a notched collar like this one, and I rather like the look of it! Marisa is having a sewalong on her facebook group page, starting January 11th and you don’t wanna miss it coz it is going to include more tips and fun techniques such as adding trims and piping to the PJ set.
The pattern also includes a finished garment size, and tips for adjusting fit and length. The comfy cozy Pajamas can be made in woven fabrics such as flannel, fleece, minky, or even satin as well as knit fabrics like cotton jersey or sweatshirt. You can see some amazing tester versions here.
Another great feature, is that it has no-trim pages (both US and A4 paper) and layered sizing!!!
One final reason to get this pattern now is that its on sale now!!! A well drafted, great fitting, versatile two piece pajama set for $6.50 now!
