Look what we have on the blog today! Matching swing dresses!! Even the usually exhausting task of getting pictures of my never-still toddler was not only effortless but absolutely wonderful. It helps to have beautiful weather of course and an amazingly patient husband 🙂

Before I get ahead of myself and show you pictures of our swing dresses in action, here’s some details about the pattern itself.

The Sammy is a chic A-line swing dress which comes in high-low and regular hemlines and can be made in tunic or dress length. Marisa the designer at Laela Jeyne Patterns has added to the versatility in this pattern with the inclusion of a racerback neckline and a cowl in addition to the regular sleeved style with cap, short, elbow, and long sleeve options. Teamed with boots and leggings it’s the perfect spring outfit!

This gorgeous floral is a club knit jersey from Raspberry creek fabrics  which I’d been hoarding for a while until my newly-obsessed-with-pink daughter screamed ‘PHEEEENK flowers mamma!!!’

The Samantha is the ladies version of the Sammy swing dress with the same stylish silhouette and a dramatic hi-low hemline (along with a regular hemline) in both tunic and dress lengths. Along with the super cool racer-back neckline and cowl neck, it also has the added option of a built-in bra. Included in the pattern are detailed instructions on customizing the fit for Full Bust Adjustments, Wide/Narrow Shoulder Adjustments, and blending between sizes. The Samantha PDF pattern comes in sizes XS-XXL (0-22) and can be purchased here at a sale price of $6.50 (aff link).

I used a medium weight cotton jersey from Girl Charlee fabrics for my Samantha swing dress and loved how sturdy it was.

Both patterns come with well- written instructions with pictures or computer illustrations to explain the construction method. All information on how to print with layers, detailed fabric layout and yardage and size charts is included in this trimless pattern formatted for printing on both US letter and A4 paper.
